I had the opportunity to speak to a group of students from Chemawa Indian School. My entrepreneurial journey is a long story so I kept that part brief and instead focused on Q&A to see what questions they really had. They seemed to range from middle school age to HS; their questions were brilliant. Of course, I wove in my stories of experience to help answer.
The best part of their visit, I think was an activity about “Profit Margin” where we utilized the sneaker wall and small groups had to be pick three shoes that they thought would have the highest profit for the business. Some students tapped into their own sneaker knowledge and went for commonly bought shoes (AF1, Panda Dunks) where as other students went for a whatever shoes were highest price strategy. // The visit was a part of the Schools Explore & More Program, swipe all the way right to see flyer 👉🏽

My bro pulled up to He coaches youth basketball in Warm Springs, OR so I sent him with some hoodies for the players & coaches to wear during warm-ups! I’m grateful to still be working for myself 12 years in, pivoting and navigating life, just like the game of basketball and like the crafty undersized point guard, I am! 🏀 Side note, Gary is Filipino & Native just like me. Culturally we didn’t have a choice; we were bred to love basketball 😂

Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was a few meters from the finish line but got confused by the signals and stopped, thinking he had finished the race.
The Spanish runner, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was happening in front of him, began shouting for the Kenyan to keep running.
Motai did not know Spanish and did not understand.
Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory.
One reporter asked Evan, "Why did you do this?" Evan replied, "My dream is that one day we can have the kind of community life that pushes ourselves and others to win as well."
"But why did you let the Kenyan win?" the reporter insisted. Evan replied, "I didn't let him win, he would win. It was his race."
The reporter insisted and asked again: "But you could have won!"
Evan looked at him and replied, "But what is the merit of my victory? What is the honor of this medal? What will my mother think?"
Values ​​are passed on from generation to generation.
What values ​​do we teach our children and to what extent do they inspire others to earn them?
Most of us take advantage of people's weaknesses rather than helping to strengthen them.
