It’s been a bit since our last post and that’s due to us being laser focused on setting up our summer league with ! If you’re in the Portland area and want to continue playing lacrosse this summer, look no further than our box program!

Great training session yesterday! We had two first time lacrosse players join, who had a blast! Couldn’t be more excited to continue to grow the game and create new beginnings. And if you couldn’t tell, yes the field was a bit muddy!

Introducing our newest offering from Founding Fathers!
•
A major barrier for growth in our sport is the starting cost of equipment. Often times parents see buying equipment for a sport their kid hasn’t tried as too risky, and thus they never get to participate. We think there are solutions to address this!
•
While we continue to introduce our P.E. curriculum in schools to foster exposure to lacrosse, we also wanted to offer an alternative affordable option via private lessons. These are geared specially for beginners to give kids the chance to learn key skills and strategies of lacrosse. Our hope is that after these lessons they will be energized to play on their local team and pursue full contact offerings!

Gotta take advantage of the sunny days here in the PNW! Today’s focus? Left handed passing and using the full body mechanics - not just arms. What are you working on during your wall ball routine?!

Although it’s we have a drill you can do outside the wall to focus on getting better! Ground balls are key to getting more possessions and increasing your chances of scoring. Use this drill to work on side to side mobility during ground balls!

Founding Father's Lacrosse was started by three friends who all began playing and loving lacrosse at a young age. We met and became very close friends during our college playing days and have since stayed close to the game. Lacrosse has allowed us to cultivate great friendships, a deep passion for hard work and an appreciation for everything this great game can offer.
