At Drift we believe that everything that we create should be one of a kind, with an emphasis on creativity, individuality, and sustainability. Our apparel line is sourced from secondhand clothing which we repair and recreate, bringing new value to unwanted basics and forgotten vintage pieces. We’re spelling out that affordable does not have to mean cheap, mass-produced and unethical. Through creat

ing apparel that is as aesthetically cool as it is ethical, we hope to transform our community’s ideas on sustainable fashion.

Did you know it takes more water to make a single tshirt than you will drink over the next THREE years??! Each day we upcycle old clothes into new clothes to save water and minimize waste. Today we collected 317 items of secondhand materials that we will repair and recreate in order to save over 226,000 gallons of water!

Did you know that we make our clothing line by upcycling the waste of larger brands? By over-dyeing imperfect goods, we bring new life to items that could have ended up in landfill ♻️ come check out our process at the dyehouse with us? ☺️

Easy little trick to repair your own sweaters!! Or armpit holes in general - this is definitely one of the MOST common repairs we need to make when upcycling our clothing line. Tip: SAVE FOR LATER - you will be happy you did ☺️♻️🪡

would you spend endless hours and thousands of dollars at the thrift shop stockpiling a mountain of secondhand clothes? Same. Wait til the end to see what we upcycled this week?

Yes, this is our cart at the Thrift Store, but before you say “wtf leave some for the rest of us!!” … LETS TALK ABOUT WASTE! Currently in the US, 80-90% of our secondhand clothing is shipped overseas to developing countries, countries that do not have the infrastructure in place to handle our staggering amount of waste! We are drowning in our clothing, yet big brands still continue to pump out new clothes at an unprecedented rate… we are trying to change this. That is why we source secondhand clothes to create our clothing line. And that is why, when we fill up a mountain of clothes at the thrift store- it is NOT taking away from anyone else. There is an endless supply of more clothing to pull from to fill the racks after we leave! If you don’t believe us, as your local thrift store employee. They can back up the fact that there is PLENTY OF CLOTHING to go around ♻️✨🫠

Our most recent collaborative project saved hundred of old and damaged ski jackets and snow pants from ending up in landfills - Let us know what you think?! Thanks to our partners at Apparel Impact and Loon Mountain! We designed a bag made from 100% upcycled materials and we love how they turned out! ♻️✨ comment ideas you have for our next upcycling collaboration??
