Federal NFA registration for $0-tax suppressors, SBRs, SBS, and AOWs took a historic hit — and FPC is not stopping at the courthouse door. On Oct. 9 FPC sent letters to attorneys general in 15 states that still tether legality of those arms to federal NFA registration: Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Wisconsin. Ask: immediate non-enforcement guidance for peaceable citizens, then permanent legislative repeal so state law does not revive a federal scheme a Texas court held unconstitutional. ATF's nationwide non-enforcement is enforcement discretion — it can flip. Durable liberty needs federal relief AND state cleanup. Fight Forward.

Gun controllers want pastors to become confiscation partners. NRA-ILA flags a Johns Hopkins / Faiths United "clergy resource guide" pushing Extreme Risk Protection Orders — red-flag seizures — and listing "recent acquisition of fi****ms or large amounts of am******on" as a warning sign. Private pastoral conversation is not a back door for ex parte gun grabs. Due process comes first: Hemani (9–0) stressed meaningful process before even temporary Second Amendment suspension, and Bruen demands text, history, and tradition — not innovative confiscation schemes. Protect the flock. Protect the right. Houses of worship are not Bloomberg field offices.

DOJ told the Fifth Circuit it will not enforce the federal ban on licensed dealers selling handguns to adults 18–20 — anywhere. That follows an OLC memo finding the old rule inconsistent with Bruen and Wolford. FPC still wants broader injunctive relief for members nationwide, because a future administration can reverse non-enforcement overnight. Celebrate the win. Demand durable relief. Rights that rest only on the current White House are not secured.

ATF just widened a big enforcement shift on Oct. 9. After a Texas court blocked NFA registration and taxation rules for suppressors, short-barreled ri**es, short-barreled sh****ns, and AOWs — and DOJ declined to appeal — the Bureau says it will stop enforcing those NFA making, transfer, registration, and marking requirements nationwide, not only for the plaintiffs. Machine guns and destructive devices stay fully regulated. These items remain fi****ms under the Gun Control Act: Form 4473, NICS, and prohibited-person rules still apply. State law is the remaining hazard — ATF will not say whether non-enforcement satisfies every state statute. Policy can reverse if Congress restores a tax or a court dissolves the injunction. Know the letter. Know your state. The Second Amendment does not pause for paperwork theater.

A decade-old nonviolent ma*****na conviction should not erase your Second Amendment rights for life. Fi****ms Policy Coalition joined the NRA and Second Amendment Foundation in asking the Supreme Court to take Johnson v. United States — a challenge to the federal lifetime gun ban for peaceable people with nonviolent felony records. History backed disarming the dangerous, not permanently stripping arms from people who pose no violence risk. Bruen still requires the government to justify its restrictions with that tradition. Heller's 'presumptively lawful' line was never a blank check to disarm Americans forever for a nonviolent offense. Know the case. Know the stakes. The right to keep and bear arms does not expire at a paperwork label.
