I do a lot. Like a lot a lot. I wake up at 4 am and either sew or post clothes for 2 hours every single morning. Then, I do all of my housework for the day, before getting ready for and then working an 8 hour shift at the DMV. When I get home, I make dinner (usually 2 of them because the small one will only eat safe foods), give baths, clean the house again, read stories, play Barbies, and navigate the world of Autism and emotional regulation. By the time we crawl into bed I am exhausted. About once a month, I get a hotel night. Kid free. DoorDash and cable. Tonight is that night. I brought my Singer. Watching the Weather Channel and sewing an apron. I’m even drinking coffee so I can stay up late and keep enjoying it. The mom guilt is real though.
