After 4 years of being open, we have made the tough decision to close our doors on Sunday, August 27th. I do not write these words easily and it shatters me to close something I have put so much heart and soul into, but the changing economy has made it too difficult to continue to operate the way we would like to.
For the month of August, we will only be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10a-5p both days, as well as the last two Sundays (20th and 27th).
As a lot of you know already, Lauren, owner of YGT & someone who has become a dear friend of mine, will be moving with her husband and 2 boys to Indiana. Please know that this change is NOT why we are closing our doors. We are closing because unfortunately there just isn’t enough foot traffic in our small community to keep up. We do understand that life is expensive in general and again, this decision did not come easy for me. I have made a lot of friends through the last 5 years (including the year prior to opening our doors) and it breaks my heart to think I am letting a lot of you women down, and for that I am truly sorry. Wearing the financial stress of owning a small business that relies solely on people walking in the door does take its toll on you…and I have 2 little people looking up to me so being bogged down with that is no longer an option for this mommy. I hope you all will come see me on these final weekends and use store credits, gift certificates or just to say hi.
I fully understand the convenience of Amazon, but my hope is that, going forward-take the less convenient way of shopping and walk into your local small business and think of them first ❤️
Please share this, as I know not everyone gets notifications and I would like as many people to know so they have the ability to use any credits and gift certificates before we are closed.
Thank you,
Jess
