The Piecemaker #2
Some women never let anything go to waste.
They saved scraps of fabric, mended worn clothing, pieced together quilts, and found beauty in what others overlooked. Their hands taught us that every piece has value and that something worn can become something wonderful.
This garment honors those piecemakers.
Created from reclaimed textiles, each fabric carries its own history—stitched together without erasing where it came from. The quilt speaks of comfort and home. The denim tells of honest work. The sweater offers warmth and care.
Together, they become a tribute to the generations of women who gathered the pieces, preserved what mattered, and quietly shaped the lives that followed.
And now, as you wear it, another piece is added to the quilt.

The Workman’s Daughter: This piece honors the men who spent their days in worn denim—building homes, working fields, repairing engines, raising barns, and doing the kind of work that often goes unnoticed. Every piece in the Understated Americana Collection honors the people whose hands quietly shaped America. Some stitched quilts. Some worked the land. Some built homes, repaired engines, harvested crops, or raised families. Their work may have looked different, but every life became part of the same American story. These garments are my way of stitching those stories together.
