PERMANENTLY CLOSED
Lexi and I, and Lex too, would like to thank you all for the continued support over the past 4 1/2 years! I thought we would beat the odds given by the SBA where they estimate that 80% of small businesses survive the first year and only 50% are still surviving beyond 5 years. 30% are still there after 10. Although we are part of these odds, the move to Bree's helps to ease the closing of Buds and Blooms Edgy Bling. Moving that much was quite the feat! Thanks to my family and friends who came to help us pack up! We cut down all of the belongings to one uhaul when there was originally probably four of that size! Thanks to those who helped us unload in the dark when we arrived. When I opened the front door the following morning at Bree's, there was a small piece of notebook paper wrapped with a rubber band over the doorknob. It read, "I saw a shirt a couple of weeks ago that I liked. Let me know when you are open again." It was folllowed by her name and phone number. She could have gone and gotten a new shirt that she liked at a number of places as this is a much bigger town with many places to choose from, but she chose us. This gave me instant hope. I was asked just yesterday if it was ok that a group of ladies getting together for a luncheon next week comes to Bree's afterwards to shop. What could I say but, YES!!? Please give the small businesses there at home your support. See what they have to offer.
I am sharing a picture I took bright and early this morning. The beauty of the sky as the sun gets ready to rise reminds me of good things to come. It doesn't matter that there was darkness for a time...the sun seems to let go and rise above it over and over again. Take chances. My hope for you all is that you find joy in what you are doing today and everyday.
P.S...edgyblingshop.com is still up. If you order, pray that I will find it in one of the stacked boxes that surrounds me! Inventory is in the process of being switched to shopbreesboutique.com and at some point you will be redirected there.
P.S.S. The background in the picture of Lexi and I is an empty wall. Behind us, it has held clothes of all types; different colors, sizes and styles. I have looked at that wall over and over trying to find a way to give value to an otherwise empty wall. But, now I see that the value I was looking for wasn't in what the wall held; it was what was in front of it. I love you, my customers and my dear daughter, Lexi. Thanks for helping me create the happiest place on earth!
P.S.S.S if that even is a thing. Support Lexi by following Nails by Lexi and then giving her your business. She is absolutely amazing at what she does. She is TALENTED and SUPER ARTISTIC! (Plus, she just lost her job!)
