Another full afternoon, 3 hours, of teaching myself yard work. Not a single mosquito bite thanks to Avon bug guard. That's impressive in our neighborhood. They swarm here 24/7 like we're in the swamp.

Let Glamma's Graphics and Fabric Arts help get you 2025 ready!

It's time to check your wardrobe and home decor. Don't throw things out, or keep pushing them to the back of your closet. Let me fit, repair, or transform your outdated, wrong sized, thrift shop finds, hand me downs into a perfect fit. Even if you decide to donate your items, make sure they are in great shape.

Don't forget to check your holiday decor before packing it away. Christmas stockings, tree skirts, table linens, throw pillows, favorite holiday vests, etc. Those could have a loose hem, button, or zipper.

Remember to check seams, buttons, zippers, pockets, and all over for any needed repairs. Don't get rid of those favorite jeans, coats, etc, because they don't fit, need repair, or are out dated. Let's Have-a-Fit together and give those items new life!

Specialty sewing and/or alterations such as formal wear, business attire, memorial pieces, Picc Line, Catheter, Port, or other medical device access openings and/or adaptations are also available. It isn't too early to think of those spring weddings, dances, or graduations either.

All clothing and other articles needing sewing services MUST arrive clean, perfume, and smoke-free. Please be sure to have all new garments pre-washed prior to alterations to remove shrinkage.

I will decline work I do not feel comfortable with or know that I will not meet a particular deadline.

With over 40 years of experience repairing and altering anything from hemming jeans, replacing zippers to altering beaded gowns and business suits.

NOTE: Quoted prices should be considered a guideline/estimate. Without physically seeing what I am actually going to be working on, an exact estimate is difficult to determine. In some cases, there could be more work involved that is not seen upon the initial viewing of your garment. The final price will also be determined by any supplies needed to complete your project.

It's time to get Holiday ready! Only 11 DAYS before Thanksgiving, 38 DAYS before Christmas and 45 DAYS before New Years! Send a message or comment to book an appointment for fitting/fixing/transforming your outfits.

Also time to get your fall/winter items out of storage. Remember to check seams, buttons, zippers, pockets and all over for any needed repairs. These are estimated and depend on fabric, supplies, and complexity of alterations. In many cases, I will charge an hourly rate of $25 per.

Take in Hips $35 & up
Taper Legs $35 & up
Stride In/Out $35 & up
Replace Zippers $25 & up

Here's a few more views of the corset back replacement and shortened wedding gown I altered. This was a challenge, due to the embroidery at the bottom. I had to take this 5 layer gown completely apart at the waist to shorten 7 inches off the length from there. Of course that meant replacement of the corset back and making a new modesty panel for under the lacing.

Today's gown went from being a Morticia Addams to a classic bride's maid in a couple hours.
I shortened a three layer gown 8 inches. Two layers of satin and the outer layer of sheer nylon. I chose to go with serged rolled hems rather than the traditional it originally had.

A couple months ago I was presented an unusual sewing request. Could I take a school band uniform jacket and make a uniform for a teddy bear? I've made memory bears and such before but I decided to challenge myself. I wanted to alter the jacket to fit the bear, rather than just a traditional memory item. Along the way I decided he needed his Shako (uniform hat) also.
It took me a lot longer than expected due to a shoulder injury (surgery is soon), but here he is. I'm rather pleased with the way this turned out.
Thank you Jana Davis Hobbs for this adventure. I thought make cheer skirts a few sizes bigger was a challenge 🤣 What will you challenge me with next?
