Sometimes the garden doesn’t produce enough. Sometimes you just want a little extra to can and sometimes you just want to support others gardens.
This was about 135 pounds of produce for $167. Living in the desert sometimes makes it hard to grow the things we want and we have limited water so this year we have to find produce in other places. That is absolutely alright and any farmer/homesteader should never be ashamed to have to rely on another source if need be 💗

Just a sleepy farm kitty sleeping next to her favorite boots!
Miss Tonks is our farm troublemaker and instigator with all the shenanigans so of course her nap time is taken very seriously to make sure she has enough energy to make said trouble!
She is one of our youngest girls. She is a tabby, tabbies have a distinctive M on their forehead and her and her brothers have been some of the most affectionate cats we have had(besides her mom who is the most laid back loving kitty). We are so smitten by them!

This was just one that came in a normal seed packets and has grown in a different bed but other than that it’s in the same conditions as the others who look normal 👀 đŸŒ»

I wasn’t raised growing flowers. The only one I remember was a hydrangea that was established on a property we lived. I remember how beautiful it was and it grew and thrives so well but my mom doesn’t like the scent of flowers so that’s the only one we ever had but as an adult I started trying some out because I always thought I didn’t like them either and the smells were so strong. Come to find out I LOVE flowers and one of my favorites is the sunflower đŸŒ» I want to try ALL the varieties and have been slowly adding to the collection where I can!

This is our surprise bulb patch lol we have no idea what these are but when we moved in we didn’t want to move them so we have decided to just let them bloom to see what they are. This one is a beautiful tulip đŸŒ· some others are dark purple and light purple irises.

Making pasta sauce from last year’s tomato yield. It was a 50 lb yield into the freezer not including all the fresh ones we ate and the birds got to. This ended up being our largest tomato harvest on our small farm 🍅 I did 60 plants that year and they were all different varieties! This year we only have a few plants but are ready for some home grown tomatoes 😍
