James Hensley is a native Oregonian who specializes in sketching landscapes, historic buildings and abandoned structures. I met him and his delightful wife last fall and he was quick to show me his beautiful work. He will be joining the Poppy in the beginning of July and I cannot wait for you to enjoy his art. Some of you may know Alidene Doherty, owner of Crooked River Crafts, who recently brought her beautiful wreaths into the Poppy. This morning I also learned something so specialā€”her grandfather, Lance ā€œCottonā€ Smith, was one of the original founders of the Crooked River Roundup.

Itā€™s such a fun reminder of how closely woven our community is, and how local history and family stories continue to live on through events like this.

Quick little heads up šŸ©·

This Saturday is my birthday, and Iā€™ll be out camping with family!! Iā€™ll be enjoying some time away, fresh air, and probably a nap.

The store *should* still be open, but my daughter is on dutyā€¦ however she works nights. So if you stop by and it looks like weā€™re closed, thereā€™s a good chance sheā€™s late or fallen into a ā€œjust a quick napā€ situation that turned into full-on sleep mode šŸ˜„

So basically: Iā€™ll be gone, she might be asleep, and the store is operating on ā€œbest effortā€ energy this weekend.

Many of you know my mom, Liz.

If youā€™ve ever met her, you know she rarely goes anywhere without a little sparkle. Her love for beautiful, flashy rhinestone jewelry has always been part of who she is. This February, our family received the news that she had been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. While that diagnosis has brought challenges, one thing hasnā€™t changedā€”her strength, her spirit, and of course, her signature sparkle.

Lizā€™s Line was inspired by my mom, Liz. Through every challenge sheā€™s faced, including her breast cancer journey, sheā€™s never stopped wearing her signature sparkle. This collection celebrates her strength, style, and spirit.

Each piece in Lizā€™s Line is hand-picked with my mom in mindā€”beautiful, eye-catching, and full of sparkle. And as an added fine detail- the logo is in my moms handwriting.

Iā€™m also honored to share that a portion of every Lizā€™s Line purchase will be donated to a cancer nonprofit, allowing this collection to give back while celebrating the strength and resilience of those affected by cancer.
