The reason I’m still chasing this dream… 🤍
Owning a boutique right now is hard. And no, I’m not wishing it were easy. I knew owning a business would come with hard seasons.
But sometimes I miss what shopping used to feel like.
I remember years ago when boutiques were my absolute favorite places to shop. Living in Kentucky, I felt like fashion just hadn’t found its way here yet. I would literally drive to other cities just to shop, and I remember thinking…
Why should I have to leave Kentucky to find the clothes and shopping experience I love?
That thought was part of what started Nicole & B.
I wanted to create a place where you could walk in, find something you felt amazing in, talk to someone who actually cared about helping you, and have that personal connection that shopping used to be about.
Is owning a boutique easy? Absolutely not.
Do I sometimes want to be done? Yes.
Do I question my “why”? More than I’d probably like to admit.
But every time I think about surrendering this dream, there’s still something inside of me saying…
It’s not time yet.
So I’m going to keep showing up. Keep trying new things. Keep fighting for the personal shopping experience I believe is still worth having.
Maybe the dream looks a little different than it did when I started.
But I’m not ready to stop dreaming yet. 🤍
