Lady Bird Quilts Reopening April 11, 2026!

We are thrilled to announce that Lady Bird Quilts will reopen for business on Saturday, 4/11/2026 from 10:00 to 4:00 only for fabric sales as well as to drop off and pick up quilts. Please note that our hours and availability have changed, we will not be open on other days of the week. Thank you for understanding and respecting this.

Lady Bird Quilts Closed until January 2026

Due to ongoing health issues, at this point we are planning for the shop to remain closed until after the first of the New Year. If you have a quilt top in to be quilted, we will do it as soon as we are able or you are welcome to come pick it up and make other quilting arrangements. Just text or call to arrange a pickup time. Watch this space for updates. Enjoy the Holidays and we hope to see you all in 2026! 🎄

Update - Lady Bird Quilts Closed Saturday 11/15
Just a quick note to let everyone know that due to ongoing health concerns Lady Bird Quilts will be closed Saturday, November 15th. JoAnn’s Garden Maze Quilt!

JoAnn Palmer created this vibrant quilt! It is a true burst of color and a testament to the joy of combining bold prints in complimenting colors! The design is a clever arrangement of rectangular blocks that interlock to create a fascinating, meandering pattern. It gives the eye a journey across the quilt, much like exploring a sunny garden path. She achieved this contemporary feel by using a striking combination of fabrics.

Bold Pinks and Greens: The backbone of the design is the interplay between the rich, speckled fuchsia border and rectangular sections, and the varied shades of lime and grass-green solids and tone-on-tone prints. These colors evoke fresh spring growth and summer blooms!
Playful Florals: Nested within the green and pink framework are several gorgeous floral and abstract prints. These fabrics feature splashes of magenta, turquoise, yellow, and white, tying all the vibrant solid colors together beautifully. The diverse prints—from subtle watercolor effects to tighter floral designs—add wonderful depth and texture.
Crisp White Sashing: The entire structure is set off perfectly by tone-on-tone white sashing. This simple border provides separation and allows each color and pattern to really pop, giving the quilt a polished, modern finish.

The quilt is backed with Green Floral 108” cotton quilt backing from our shop while the inside of the quilt is filled with our premium Hobbs Heirloom batting. I quilted it in a Butterfly & Wild Rose motif for her using lime green thread. This irresistible quilt will certainly brighten up any room! 😊

Bright & Beautiful Flowers Quilt by Cheryl!

We're happy to share a beautiful quilt from Chery Duvall with you today! This vibrant and cheerful design is a harmonious blend of traditional pattern and contemporary fabric style, resulting in a piece that will brighten any room. The foundation of this quilt is a lovely, repeating block that creates a wonderful lattice effect. She used a mix of fabric blocks, including a beautiful floral print with striking navy, sunny yellow, and warm orange, and blue blooms. This is balanced by blocks of solid navy, a lively green and blue mottled print, and a rich olive green solid, all set apart by generous sashing. The sashing is a true standout, a vibrant, multi-tonal yellow with hints of pink and orange. It acts like a burst of sunshine, making the entire pattern pop and giving the quilt a light, airy feel. The combination of the dark navy and bright florals with the rich greens and sunny yellow makes for a truly captivating color palette.

I quilted it in “Birds In a Bath” for her and did the binding. This is a very pretty quilt, Cheryl! 😀
