Fun fact i learned how to swing literally by jumping in the deep end of the pool and figuring it out. We all learn differently, for some of us our thriving doesn’t start until we’ve been drowning for a while. The point being made here: things start at the start, n•o•t when you’ve got everything perfected.

“The song on my heart is unity.”

After making this just now, i felt like the call to ‘be human’ hung uncomfortably at the end. That typically ‘being human’ is a cop out for being flawed, and giving into the worst aspects of our humanity. ⁣

That’s just an injustice to the beauty humanity is capable of. ⁣
⁣
I think the most human thing we can admit, is to admit we’re in process. ⁣
⁣
The reason why I started this post with a quote from a friend is because, unity not only belongs around us, it belongs inside of us. ⁣
⁣
If you’ve ever seen a jigsaw puzzle, you’re very aware that unifying those separate parts is a major process. I think internally, to bring out the best versions of ourselves, to unify us with all the things we aspire to be, we ought to embrace process or we’ll be sorely disappointed.

“I love the relationship i have with my kid- but more than that i love our friendship” ⁣

I think my favorite thing about relationships is in the mixing of two people; I’ve recently been challenged by God to view unity in a different way, much more in accepting than pushing, type of way, and i don’t know how to word it right, but the energy you can share with people when you take the walls down- that’s the type of stuff that makes me come alive. I think the relationship between a parent and a kiddo is so beautiful because in actuality both of them are growing so much together💛⁣

Quote from this weeks blog post:
“Belong to the process, Reader, and the product will be amazing”.
This thought, and the blog post as a whole, stems from the idea that so often in pursuit of big goals we skip the little steps, or skip taking steps all together, and end up very far off of where we intended going.
Self integrity is one of the most vital character traits we can invest in to get what we most want in life. It’s one thing to keep the promises we make with others, so why not keep the ones we make to ourselves- why not both?💛

Daily reminder that no matter the dreams you chase, goals you achieve, people you marry, or places you go, you’ll still have to bring yourself to all of them. Might as well fall in love with the person you are now before some expectations get pretty disappointed.

As a Christian it’s such an odd thought to believe in, knowing the gravity of what Jesus sacrifices, to believe He saw me, sees me, knows me fully, and at the end of the day still believes I was so worth the cross. That we, as His kids, are ‘the joy that was set before Him’ when He bore the cross. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter our arguments, He still looks at us all and believes we are 𝕊𝕆 𝕍𝔼ℝℝ𝕐 worth what He paid for. Reader, at the end of the day you are so very worthy of love, and so very worth the journey💛
