It's been awhile, but wanted to share this gorgeous image I found on Instagram of a spread from Elle magazine of iconic designer Paul Harnden's work. He designed clothing as well as shoes but he had little online presence. There are some second-hand pieces out there. All handcrafted of wool, silk, linen. Well made clothes designed to last! The Instagram account has some of his artful yet dark, moody videos—glimpses of another time and place.

The super pointy ones on the left remind me of Fluevogs.

I'd intended to post to this page regularly last year, but alas...

Moving on, some pieces and words of wisdom from this designer, Ivey Abitz, designer of naturally glorious clothing.

Designer Feature: Pavilion Parade

It's been forever and a day since I've shared anything on here even though it was my intention to do weekly posts. Here's a bit of beauty to make up for that. Fine robe, gown, and shoe designer extraordinaire, Pavilion Parade has some custom work for sale on her website at present! Her luxurious fabrics and fine workmanship are breathtaking. I personally LOVE the velvet ballet type shoes.

Ok, it's been more than a hot minute since I've shared anything but life gets busy and time is all weird these days. HERE is a brand I love even though I don't own any at present. In future I want to buy fewer but better pieces that are an investment and last forever. That said, I generally keep my clothing a long time as my style is rather fixed and predictable. I like dark, a bit classic, hovering on conservative pieces but with a witchy flair.

Boem (an Australian company) is the linen clothing of my dreams. Behold! Hey, if anyone wants to buy me an early bday gift, have at it. LOL. Just kidding.

Welcome to this page where I wax poetic about past fashion trends (from the 1290s to the 1990s), feature clothing I find beautiful, mention designers and show collections found online. From time to time I'll share my own second hand curated wardrobe where I focus on sustainable natural fibers.

Once I get organized, I plan to sell online to both cull my own excessive closet (address my wee hoarding situation) and to fund my cat habit. I'll share links and info here first when that happens.

The first “feast for the eyes” is the highly wearable, subtle-hued textural creations by designer Robin Kaplan.
