When the emotions lead one's heart, it's as if a storm is brewing inside, and the mind is torn between rationality and the intense feelings that are taking over.

The inner turmoil is palpable, a sense of restlessness that cannot be shaken, as the heart and mind engage in a fierce battle for dominance.

Emotions separates the mind from the heart, creating a sense of disconnection, for the feeling of the emotion is not always directly connected to the mind, like two parallel lines that never intersect.

The heart beats faster, the pulse races, and the thoughts become cloudy, making it difficult to distinguish between what's real and what's just a product of our emotional state, like trying to navigate through a dense fog.

In this state, we're often left wondering, are we thinking with our heart or are we feeling with our mind?

Are we prisoners of our emotions, or are we the masters of our own destiny?

Take time to learn your emotions, to understand the intricacies of your heart, and how to gain self-control over unwanted emotions.

Remember, actions play off your emotions, and most emotions are seasoned before they harvest, like a ripe fruit that's been nurtured over time.

Learn to recognize the signs, to acknowledge the whispers of your heart, and to harness the power of your emotions to achieve your goals.

Only then can you truly find balance and harmony within yourself.

3 ways to honor parents : A Heartfelt Tribute to the Ones Who Shaped Our Lives

1. Uphold your countenance - There are many times when our parents correct us, and our countenance drops, and though no words are spoken, the expression has spoken for itself. The parent who has been there since day one knew your ways before you knew or could identify yourself. While you were going through the different stages of life, they were there through your journey, learning the things that you like, dislike, and so forth. They have seen you at your best and worst, and yet, they still choose to love and support you unconditionally. So, the next time they correct you, remember to keep your head held high and your heart open, for they only want the best for you.

2. Respect - Honor is a form of respect. Don't try to take over their role as a parent, many young adults believe it's okay to visit their parents and enter their homes and just because they are grown, they can do whatever they want and how they want. But, respect their space, their rules, and their authority. Remember, they are still your parents, and you are still their child. You don't have to yell or talk back but give a soft answer of that as a child . They have earned the right to be respected and honored, and it's essential to show them that you value their presence in your life.

3. Time - By being there for them, helping them with small things, as they age, visit and if you aren't visiting, call to keep in touch. Prepare a meal as often as you can and reminisce about the good times you shared. There is no need to bring up bad events as the parents did not come with a manual, and they did the best they could, and it would only open up a door for some hurt or pain. Move forward and show your parent that the child they have raised has grown into a caring, compassionate, and responsible adult, as they had hoped for.

By following these three simple yet powerful ways to honor your parents, you can strengthen your bond with them, show them that you appreciate everything they've done for you, and create a lifelong connection that will last a lifetime.

To the one who paved a way from heaven and assigned you to the parents that you have, knowing this would be the best, most challenging, and greatest blessing you'll know. You were chosen for a reason and given the match you have, a unique combination that has shaped you into the person you are today. Your parents were handpicked to guide you, support you, and love you unconditionally, and for that, you should be eternally grateful.

Not all parents are loving, caring, and understanding. Many are very difficult, especially in their old age. While many are loving, caring, and understanding, but their child is the opposite.

Either way, it's a test for both, a test of patience, love, and compassion. As we navigate the complexities of our relationships with our parents, it's essential to remember that they, too, are human beings with their own set of flaws and imperfections.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs. Ephesians 4: 29

There are people who study your every move, analyzing your weaknesses and listening to every word you say.

They're like predators, waiting for the perfect moment to strike and use your own words against you.

Be cautious who you talk to, because not everyone is out to help you. They see your light, your potential, and it's a threat to their own success.

They'll try to dim your sparkle, to make you doubt yourself, to make you feel like you're not good enough.

But don't let them win.

Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you, who want to see you shine. Remember, your words have power, so choose wisely who you share them with.
