Life doesn’t follow a straight line.
It moves in cycles,
like seasons that shift
in their own time.

And within these movements,
something in us also changes:
what we feel.

Feeling is part of the process.
Not only what feels light,
but what weighs on us, what confuses,
what slows us down inside.

Each emotion shows up in its own way.
Some bring lightness.
Others ask for silence, pause, adjustment.

Even when you don’t understand it at the time,
something is already adjusting within you.

Maybe maturity isn’t about avoiding certain phases…
but about staying in them
without abandoning yourself.

Because in the end,
each cycle doesn’t come just to pass.

It comes to leave something in you
that wasn’t there before.

And there are things
that only take shape
after they’ve passed through you.

Friday night we went skating and my children decided to join us. Truly a blessing to have my adult children pull up on me.
