There was so much interest in my neon roadrunner signs when I closed my physical doors. Honestly, I was not ready to deal. I absolutely wanted them to go to an amazing home, but lost steam towards the end of all the chaos that comes with moving and decided to pack them up. I am happy to report, the time is NOW for me to part with these spectacular pieces.

The signs have been in storage (a very high end art facility, not your average STOR-N-LOCK) just chilling there, begging for a new home to light up. They are keeping company with a set of the gold marquee letters of RANCHO RELAXO that hung above my door.

These custom neon roadrunner signs are like glow-in-the-dark treasure maps. They’re tiny lightning storms trapped in glass tubes. Each one tells its own story. Lisa Schulte (aka The Queen of Neon) made these beauties with her own hands. That’s kind of like having Batman build your car. She’s been creating neon magic for over 40 years, working with everyone from NASA to rock stars.

Here’s a quick science lesson that’ll blow your mind. Neon’s basically the rebel of elements. It hates playing with others. But hit it with some electricity? BAM. Pure magic happens right before your eyes.

The neon roadrunners? They’re like having your own piece of Route 66 right at home. Remember those old-school motels with their glowing signs beckoning weary travelers? That’s exactly what these pieces remind me of. They’ve got that perfect mix of retro cool and modern swagger.

You know those people who name their homes? I learned early on that the name of choice for those who choose to name their home is RANCHO RELAXO. Your party pad needs a proper name. Calling your home RANCHO RELAXO is basically telling the world your place is where the good times happen.

Alright, let’s talk about Black Friday. You know, that magical day when everyone loses their minds over “deals.”

I’ve been on both sides of this retail rodeo. Back in my corporate days, I’d be plotting those juicy doorbusters like a mad scientist. Now as a small business owner? Things look a bit different from this side of the cash register.

Here’s the thing - I’m terrible at playing pretend. I won’t tell you this is some massive blow-out sale. The truth is, I need to raise my prices. Not because I want to buy a yacht (though that would be nice). It’s because running a small business in 2024 is like trying to fill a leaky bucket.

My costs have jumped 24% since I opened my doors in 2019. That’s not a typo. My calculator wasn’t having a tantrum. Those are real numbers. That is the cummulative inflation since I have been in business. It just doesn’t make sense to lose my shirt in order to sell a shirt.
