I received this quilt from a friend. It was her mother's who received it from a neighbor in southern California. It is unusual with the crocheted border. One heart is marked Marx Bros of New Orleans. Evidently they made men's suit linings and a lot of the fabric in this crazy quilt is suit lining. After doing a little research, all I could find was some newspaper ads from 1882-1912 in a New Orleans paper.

Table topper project

Another activity done in the studio is prayer quilts. Anyone who needs to be assured of God's love and comfort can have a lap quilt made especially for them. Grace Quilting Society is always ready to get started on a quilt for someone in need.
