Due to my belated Mom's patience, I have been knitting, crocheting, embroidering, and dabbling in other textile endeavors for about 50 years now!! I opened my Etsy Shop in 2017 to carry on my Mom's tradition of hand knitting Christmas Stockings from a Vintage pattern, circa 1941. Admittedly, I have tweaked it for ease of creating and substituted Acrylic yarn for Wool. I discovered I have a severe
allergy to all things wool including lanolin from the wool, but I follow the same counts and traditional designs that she used. There have been a couple of new designs added to this. Substituting Snowmen or Stockings for the traditional Candles/Holders. I have also custom created stockings, both knit and crochet, for clients who had been unsuccessful in finding someone to duplicate their family heirlooms, enabling them to continue their family traditions for new family members!! Hand knit and crochet take time, especially when duplicating the pattern from an existing item. I close my Etsy Shop 10/31 or sooner, depending on the number of orders I receive that are needed by Christmas!! I hope y'all understand this!!!
