True Winter: I live in the snowiest place and it’s beautiful and very cold and not so bad once if you feel really lucky. I’m in the slow churn of the new year, finding my tone for the year ahead and taking it slow while also having competed a massive project (more on that soon). More art to come soon, stay safe and be well.

This was a big year.
Settling in to a new place, rooting in to my home with my love, expanding and sharing, trying new things. Life moving and rolling bringing in the good with the hardships, windfalls of sweet fortune and capacity testing experiences.
I feel tremendous grateful for the life I am building. I extend that gratitude to everyone that supported, encouraged, connected, laughed, traveled, hosted, and transformed with me. There’s so much on the other side of this year, a shift in the energy that I’m looking forward to.

It’s already December and our first snow day upstate. The fall was a whirl of bright blue sky, sunlit fields, and new additions to the house. 🐈‍⬛✨🐈‍⬛✨
A few highlights: Catching every farmers market possible, we drenched the living room in plum, I made all these adorable tiny printed shirts (that are live -right now- on the web). Carmine and Motorcycle settled into life perfectly, Dahlias filled vases and inspired colorways.

In the rush of the holiday I missed saying my thanks to you all for your support of my work and world. It means the world to me to see folks connect to garments, dream up projects with me, and gush over colors.

The website is full of new tops and gifts for this holiday season, I’d love for you to take a look!

Look 5. Peregrine Flight.

David, my father(!!) was the fifth and final look out the runway. Closing out the show with a matching hand painted set.

This deep navy set pairs with the previous look, the mystic flight of a peregrine, thistle, tiles, and a horse rider under a ghostly tree. The pants are a graphic, sharp sawtooth quilt motifs hand painted on a dark navy linen with a patched pocket.

This work is an homage to home, place, and the mysticism of protection and belonging. With foundations in historical textile motifs, reclaimed natural fibers, and elemental plant and animal totems, each piece holds the spirit of living memory.

Look 4. The Great Oak Tree.

Melinda, my mother(!!), was the fourth look out on the runway. Mixing in my favorite patchwork motif style hand painting and vintage tablecloth reworked pants, the collection shifts into more everyday ceremony. The deep navy jacket carries the energy of an old oak tree wrapped in a stone wall, symbols of agreements, antique chains, and the ever useful mullein plant.

This soft linen set included a pleated vintage top with faux-cross stitch painting to match the fleur de lis on the pants. Side draw linen pants dyed a soft parchment yellow. (Top / jacket sold)

This work is an homage to home, place, and the mysticism of protection and belonging. With foundations in historical textile motifs, reclaimed natural fibers, and elemental plant and animal totems, each piece holds the spirit of living memory.

Additional thanks to .photo for the stunning photos and as always for organizing!

Look 3. The Sycamore Tree Tunic.
Amy was third in the lineup, wearing a hand sewn tunic made from vintage table runners. The back panel holds a glowing sycamore trunk.

In addition she wore a hand made cotton jumpsuit with cut out square lace work in deep charcoal. This piece bridges the first two looks with the next two. Building on the motifs of protective altars, shifting into everyday wear.

This work is an homage to home, place, and the mysticism of protection and belonging. With foundations in historical textile motifs, reclaimed natural fibers, and elemental plant and animal totems, each piece holds the spirit of living memory.

Look two. The Hudson Highlands trench.
⛰️✨⛰️✨⛰️✨⛰️✨⛰️✨⛰️✨⛰️
Parker was the second to walk the runway, wrapped up in the familiar peaks and waterways of the Hudson Valley. This jacket was hand painted in the round, all the hills growing into taller peaks, a shining hot red sun on the back.

In addition she wore a hand made skirt with floral embroidery, reclaimed from a vintage linen table cloth, and a cropped linen shirt with faux-cross stitch embellishment over the back and arms.

This work is an homage to home, place, and the mysticism of protection and belonging. With foundations in historical textile motifs, reclaimed natural fibers, and elemental plant and animal totems, each piece holds the spirit of living memory.

See this whole look up close and personal at Field + Supply Oct 10-13 at the Hutton Brick Yards. Kingston, NY.

Let’s talk about the first look…
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Opening last week was a dream, the light, the surroundings, and the joy of amplifying sustainable practices with a host of talented designers. The first look in the collection is the Sunlit Honeysuckle gown, thanks to my model .riling and .photo photo for these incredible shots.

This gown is hand-painted with a brassy green vine that climbs around the body. Light yellow honeysuckle blooms as it branches gracefully.

This work is an homage to home, place, and the mysticism of protection and belonging. With foundations in historical textile motifs, reclaimed natural fibers, and elemental plant and animal totems, each piece holds the spirit of living memory.
