Current - I took a break from working the body of it to work on the sleeves. I love how the panel is looking on the back. I'm going to work the pockets to have a similar design ❤️.

Theres been huge fires the last few weeks in our area. It's been pretty stressful inducing and devastating as so many people have been getting evacuated or unable to access their houses due to evacuations. The latest fire - hawk fire - has displaced more people than the last few. School has been canceled today since we're in a state of emergency.

I hope they get it under control soon. But for now, I am anxiously knitting my worries away.

Let's block a top!

I'm sure I'll get some criticism for leaving the top on a towel to block, but where I live it's so dry and things dry so quickly it's never been an issue.

Have you tried slipped stitch designs? They're like cables but without the cable needle. They're so addictive and satisfying.

Absolutely loving this cotton yarn from . It's been perfect for summer tops. I think I'll do a cotton cardigan for spring/summer next.

Have you tried using slipped sts to make cables? It is so satisfying and so much more little kid friendly to not have to juggle multiple needles while making cables.

PATTERN RELEASE DAY!! WOOHOO!

Please welcome the Kona Raglan.

The yarn from reminds me of the black volcanic rock you see everywhere in the Big Island of Hawaii.

I took measurements from one of my favorite shirts and made a knit-up version. I love how it turned out. There's simple eyelets at the neckline and along the raglan. It's worked seamlessly from the top-down.

Obv you can tell from my smile that I'm loving the fit.

For this top, I took the measurements from one of my favorite T-shirts at the time and made the knit to those measurements. I did a simple eyelet design along the raglan seam and also did some short rows for a beautiful fit.

I'm not very good at styling. I tend to pair my clothes together with the same shorts and shoes (basic blue jeans shorts and black flip flops). My knits really help to elevate basic outfits though! Shown here is the Mulberry Summer Top knit up in yarn.

Even during the school year, I rotate through the same pairs of jeans without much variation to my outfits.

What are your go-to basics you can't live without?

Fresh off the needles!!

Still needs to be blocked, but I love how it turned out 😍
I was tempted to wear it out today but I was worried something might happen to it... And I need to get photos taken before I spill anything on it 😜.

Knitting with littles is seriously not for the weak of heart.

Whenever I sit down, my toddler insists on crawling into my lap. So I carefully knit with my needles pointing away from her (so I don't poke out an eye) and my arms wrapped around her since she's a squirmy one.

Anyone have tips to get me through this phase of life?
