Everyone is encouraged to wear “Alabama Crimson Tide” attire and jeans to match Mattie……an avid Alabama Fan!

The COTTAGE in Historic Downtown Repton opened over 10 years ago, and MS. MATTIE CRUTCHFIELD TURNER was the constant staple that made it all work!! She will be so sorely missed! Her SMILE & WARMTH made it more than just a store!
It is with a heavy heart that I tell you........Earlier today, Mr. Ray, Ms. Mattie's husband, called me with very unexpected & heartbreaking news......Ms. Mattie had a heart attack this morning and had been prepped to be transported to Mobile BUT the transport never took place......Jesus had other plans. Ms. Mattie passed before being transported.
Ms. Mattie loved her family, her friends, her customers! But she also dearly missed her mother every day, Ms. Madie! Her mother passed in 2020. While we will miss Ms. Mattie greatly, all I could think about was how excited she was to hug her mother today once again!
THANK YOU, Ms. Mattie, for being YOU and for loving us & The Cottage!
