💡 THE LORD SAID, “LET THERE BE LIGHT.” 🙌 💡

We’re supposed to be tiling THROUGH THE NIGHT… except we had one tiny problem:

NO. ELECTRICITY. 😩

So I called Duke. Then got transferred. And transferred. And transferred… 8 TIMES in a little over 2 HOURS. 🤦‍♀️ (seriously…)

Finally got hung up on, called back, only to hear, “Sorry, we’re closed now. Call back tomorrow during normal business hours.”

Well… apparently the Lord doesn’t operate on normal business hours. 😂🙌 (neither do I)

Because before we could even figure out what to do next, PEOPLE STARTED BRINGING LIGHTS. 🔦💡(I was at the DG and don’t you know lamps where buy one get one half off!)

And THIS is exactly why we’re always so thankful for our resources and our community.

Being in emergency services and serving the public for so many years has taught us one thing: you don’t do it alone. You use your resources, you call for help, and when somebody needs you, you SHOW UP.

Tonight, our community showed up for us. ❤️

So we’ve got lights.
We’ve got tile.
We’ve got knee rollers.
We’ve got questionable decisions. 😂
And apparently… we’ve got JESUS ON NIGHT SHIFT. 🙏😂

Alright y’all… LET THERE BE TILE. 🛠️😂 Pray for all the fingers operating the tile saw during this dark time 🩸

One more step closer. One more night of work. One more reminder that we’ve got some pretty amazing people in our corner. ❤️

After all the hauling, building, creating, selling, cleaning, laughing, and probably doing entirely too much 😂… we’re giving ourselves a day to REST & RECHARGE! ❤️

I got kidnapped today. 😂

By “kidnapped,” I mean I was FORCED to take a break… mentally AND physically. Apparently I’m not allowed to just run myself into the ground. 🙄

So we went shopping, wandered around, laughed a little, and supported some of our local businesses. ❤️
Because even though my hands and wallet are broke…my eyes aren’t!! Rascals Roost Trenton NC

And of course, Rascals Roost Trenton NC is ALWAYS a favorite!!! 🐓🛍️

Sometimes you just need to step away from the work, breathe, shop local, and remember there’s a whole world outside of your to-do list.

Now… back to reality. 😂
After this Aggie's Pizza and Subs steak and cheese! (I’m sharing the large…so don’t be holding my calories against me today!) good nutrition for energy and healing will be my excuse! I may have to stop into Richlands and FEEL my store because I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed; defeated and tired (omg who jinxed me with the lazy?) And see the man behind the scenes 🤤
