With summertime coming, your jewelry runs into more lotions and products than usual.

I LOVE seeing you all rock your permanent pieces! One thing I always like to share is a bit of "jewelry reality." Whether it’s a custom piece from me or a diamond necklace from a big-name jeweler—at the end of the day, it is still jewelry.

🦋The "Shadow" Effect: If your lotion causes your jewelry to leave a slight dark mark on your skin, don't worry! It’s just a reaction to the products you're wearing. We call this metallic abrasion!!!
🦋The Dawn Method: Use a soft toothbrush and dawn soap to wash away those oils and perfumes. It fixes the abrasion and brings back the shine instantly.
🦋Silver Care: Sterling silver naturally reacts to its environment, but a quick scrub of dawn or toothpaste keeps it bright.

Ever wonder why your friend’s jewelry stays shiny while yours might not? It’s usually not the metal—it’s PH levels!

Our body chemistry is unique. For example, I personally can’t wear 14k gold or sterling silver earrings, but my entire family can. Yet, I can wear those same metals as bracelets without any issues!
