Today’s project: restocking baby aprons. How cute is this sea otter print? 🦦

I currently have these in one size, but multiple snap closures mean this apron can fit children from 6 months old until about age 5. Easily washable, these aprons will help keep kids clothes tidy for many years and through many messes.

All of my baby aprons are made using laminated fabric. This is cotton fabric with a thin waterproof layer applied over the top. It functions the same as oilcloth, but is more flexible and without toxins. I source this fabric from a seller who only sells CPSIA approved fabrics, so it’s safe for use with our littlest humans.

Is Throwback Thursday still a thing? Earlier this summer I made each of the boys a rainsuit for our travels to see family in Alaska. Littlest man’s is yellow, and the jacket is lined with cat fleece leftover from another project.

Hi. I still exist. Captain Mama fell to the very bottom of my priorities this winter. I feel like we are emerging from a long hibernation, finally getting beyond survival mode. We acquired every nasty bug this winter, and between sick days and snow/ice/Richmond water crisis days, they had only two normal weeks of school between Christmas and spring break.

Garden prep took the place of sewing the past several months, as we finished the greenhouse. I have no sewing or crochet to show off at the moment, please enjoy some happy spring pics instead 🌼

How cute are these aquatic prints?!

You guys wiped out my inventory of baby aprons and adult size crocheted hats at the last two markets. This is a good problem to have, thank you! I was able to get more of the fabric I use for the aprons shipped over the weekend, so I can whip up more in time for the Merry Market at Maymont.

SustainablyEco this past weekend was a great kick-off to the season! I will be traveling to Corolla, NC for Thanksgiving and participating in the wonderful Christmas Craft Village this Friday.

Annnnd I’m happy to announce I have one additional hometown market this season: Merry Market at Maymont. This was a fantastic event full of holiday spirit last year, I am thrilled to get to join again!
