Chore coat? Blazer? All of the above ☑️

After launching The Slack Jacket in corduroy last fall, we knew that this was going to be a staple jacket we wanted to keep around all year. The Slack Jacket is one of those pieces you can throw on with anything without having to think about it.

This season we picked a soft deep navy organic cotton canvas fabric that’s tough enough to get the job done but still wearable in the Virginia summer.

The Heritage fit in our flagship Kojima fabric, now rinsed. 🌊

After months of wearing these ourselves, gathering feedback, and watching customers try them on, we kept arriving at the same moment: the point where the Kojima fabric comes alive. The drape settles. The texture and hairiness of the fabric come forward. The indigo deepens, warm and rich, and the seams begin to pucker in all the right ways.
The rinse gets you there from day one. Gentle enough to leave the fading potential fully intact, just enough to let the fabric be what it is. You’ll see it already in the warm depth of the indigo, the puckered seams, the faint bleed on the pocket bags. All the character of a raw selvedge jean, already present, ready to keep developing with every wear.
A favorite fit. A fabric doing what it does best. Ready from the first wear and only getting better.
