I can tell how much a man cares about his clothes by looking at his ankles.
Not judging him. Just reading him. The hem is the last thing anybody thinks about and the first thing that gives a suit away.
Fabric piled on the shoe in three or four folds tells me the trousers came home and never went to a tailor. It’s the most common thing I see and it’s a quick fix.
What surprises men is the seat. If the trouser pulls across the back when you sit, or hangs empty, it changes how you carry yourself all day without you knowing why. You end up standing differently. Feeling watched.
Ten years of this and I’m still convinced trousers are the most neglected half of a man’s wardrobe.
And if you’re out around Danville, Somerset, or London, you don’t have to make the drive up to Lexington for this. We’re right here in Richmond. Come see us and we’ll get your trousers sorted.
