You don’t ask for the spotlight.
You don’t need the attention.

You do it all for her 🫶🏻

You may not have spent years dreaming about centerpieces or timelines —
but you’ve spent years dreaming of her and they day you’ll ask her to be yours. Forever.

I see the way you clasp her hands when she’s nervous.
In the way you soften the moment you see her.
In the way you pull her in — not for the camera — but because she’s yours and you’re proud of it.

You hold doors.
You wipe tears.
You thank her parents with a firm handshake and eyes that say, I understand the weight of this.

And when you say your vows, it isn’t a performance.
It’s straight from the heart. And honestly it melts me every time.

So thank you for letting me witness it —
the nerves in your hands,
the pride in your posture,

Okay I have to share this…

I asked married women what they would do differently if they planned their wedding again — and the answer that kept popping up?

They wish they had hired a videographer.

Over and over.

As a photographer, I obviously believe in the power of photos. They freeze a moment in time forever.

But I completely understand this too…
hearing the vows again.
seeing your people move and laugh.
watching the day unfold.

I’ve had a lot of brides opt out of videography through the years and they regret it!

Married women — what made video matter more after the day was over?

If you could do it all over again—what would you totally do differently on your wedding day?

I’ve been behind the camera for over 10 years, and the best advice I’ve ever seen doesn’t come from Pinterest… it comes from women who’ve been there, laughed through it, cried through it, and lived to tell the tale.
