This is Chloe. 🐾

When we adopted her, we honestly weren’t sure anyone else would understand her the way she needed to be understood.

She wasn’t broken. She just needed patience, love, and the right people.

That’s why National Rescue Dog Day means so much to us.

At The Love of Dog Boutique, we want to do more than just sell dog shirts. We want to celebrate rescue dogs, support rescue organizations, and help share stories like Chloe’s.

Today we celebrate the dogs who got a second chance… and the people whose lives were changed because of them. ❤️

This little 9lb Chiweenie mix is about 2–3 years old, and while the world has been a bit overwhelming for her, she’s showing everyone just how much love she has to give.

Z**i can be shy and skittish at first—but give her a little patience, a little kindness, and you’ll see her completely transform. Once she feels safe, she leans in… and becomes the sweetest, cuddliest little companion.

She’s good with other dogs, doing well going potty outside, and settles nicely in her crate. She enjoys short walks and is slowly learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

Z**i doesn’t need a perfect home—just a gentle one. Someone who understands that trust takes a moment… but love like hers is worth everything.

Meet Seamus from

Seamus may be the “new kid,” but his story runs deeper than most. After being adopted and returned, he’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place—and honestly, you can see it in those eyes.

But here’s the beautiful part… he hasn’t given up.

Seamus is incredibly cuddly and happiest curled up under a blanket or right next to his person. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and motivated by treats (same, buddy 😄). He enjoys walks, gets along with other dogs, but would truly thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can bond closely with one or two people.

He doesn’t like sudden surprises, so he’ll need someone patient and gentle—someone who will let him come out of his shell at his own pace. No young kids, just a peaceful environment where he can finally relax and be loved the way he deserves.

At just under 12 pounds, Seamus isn’t asking for much space… just a place in your heart.
