Here a few facts about the new Protected Pepper with Shield 🛡
1) What is the distance the phone has to be from the pepper spray for it to detect the alert?
50 feet is ideal but it should reach up to 300 feet depending on walls.
2) Do you have to have your Bluetooth on constantly (in case of needing to use your spray) or only when you are pairing the devices?
You would need to have your Bluetooth on for it to be connected. You have to be transmitting in order for it to be able to find you.
3) What actually tracks the location - the phone, the bluetooth pepper spray, or both?
The phone is the beaconing mechanism. Keep your phone with you.
4) Can it be refilled and how much?
Yes, $7. It uses the regular pepper spray refills that you purchase in your virtual office.
5) Will the case have a lifetime warranty?
The Shield Protected Pepper is covered by our Lifetime Warranty against failures due to defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal use. However, this warranty does not cover failures that are a result of accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, weather, outdoor elements, or modification. Using the Shield Protected Pepper for any reason other than as a pepper spray with alerting features is considered a misuse of its design or intent.
6) How long does the battery last?
As far as demonstration goes, the battery lasts for over 1,000 uses.
7) If the pin is pulled and someone tries to use it against you, will the alert send with the pin out, if it hadn't been triggered (button depressed) before the pin was pulled?
Just pulling the pin alone will not trigger the alert. You’ll need to actually deploy the pepper spray or push the white button.
8 ) If the pepper spray is used and they file a police report Damsel will replace the spray?
Yes, the incident replacement policy covers replacement with police report stating that the pepper spray was used to defend them.
9) How much is it and will we receive commission on it?
It is $89, which includes monthly subscriptions for the lifetime of the product. Yes, you’ll receive 25% or 30% commission.
10) To help with promoting the product: How much would you pay for something that alerts FIVE of your closest contacts that you need help? You don't have to worry about getting to your phone or getting to safety before you can get help. It does this for you while you are protecting yourself.
11) The subscription cost is lumped in the total $89 for now... what is the length of time that subscription will last for the customer?
The lifetime of the product which is over 1,000 deployments.
12) Can you press the white button without deploying the pepper spray? Or do both have to be pressed for the app alert?
If, for example, you're in an elevator and don't want to deploy the pepper spray but need help you can press the white button with the pepper spray in the locked position and can deploy the signal without using the pepper spray.
13) Do the contacts have to have the app too, or just the person with the pepper spray?
They don’t have to have the app.
