I’m so grateful for your love, your loyalty, your honesty, your steadiness, your leadership and the life we’ve built together.

Keith: “Every time the babies leave, you get grumpy.”
Old me: Defensive and bitchy.
New me: Hmm… I wonder why that is? 😅

When the house gets quiet, I still feel that ache in my chest — that tug of loneliness and abandonment that used to scare me. I used to fill it with bad choices, distractions or busyness just to avoid feeling it.

But growth has taught me to explore loneliness instead of running from it. To sit with it, breathe through it, and ask what my heart really needs. Because sometimes, loneliness isn’t a punishment — it’s an invitation.

Maybe this quiet isn’t empty after all. Maybe it’s where God keeps meeting me — showing me that peace doesn’t depend on who’s in the room, but on Who’s inside my heart. 💛🌻

If you’re in a season of quiet — maybe your kids are grown, or life just feels a little emptier than it used to — this is your opportunity to explore what’s healing, not what’s missing.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” — Isaiah 26:3

Proof that God is good — and that joy is holy too. 🙌🏼☀️

Not just a highlight reel — this is my real life. The joy was real, and so were the tears.

I’m stepping into who Jesus has been calling me to be. Letting go. Trusting Him with the unknown.

Even in the messy middle, I know this: He is with me. And that’s enough.

July brought all the things that make my heart full.
Come on, August — I’m ready. 💛✨

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
— Isaiah 43:19 🌿

🎉21 Looks So Good on You!🎉

Last night we celebrated my baby turning 21—and my heart is still catching up. 🥹

She’s grown into the most beautiful, soft-hearted, radiant woman—with the same sweet spirit she’s had since she was little, just with more confidence, wisdom, and sparkle now. 💫

Dinner was full of laughter, hugs, and so many memories… and I couldn’t be prouder of who she is and where she’s going.

🥂 Cheers to…

• Saying yes to new adventures
• Trusting your voice
• Living with heart-wide-open joy
• And never forgetting where you came from or who loves you most

Love you forever, baby girl.
You make 21 look effortless. 💕

So proud of their amazing mommy and daddy for bringing these sweet girls into the world and embracing parenthood with so much love and grace.

Getting Through the Discomfort

Surrender to the pain. Then learn to surrender to the good. It’s there and more is on the way.

Our goal in recovery is to make ourselves feel comfortable, peaceful, content. Happy. We want to be at peace with ourselves and our environment. Sometimes, to do that, we need to be willing to face, feel, and get through discomfort.

I am not talking here about being addicted to misery and pain. I am not talking about creating unnecessary pain. I’m talking about the legitimate discomfort we sometimes need to feel as we heal.

When we have surgery, the pain hurts most the day after the operation. When we do the kind of work we are facing in recovery, we are doing an emotional, mental, and spiritual surgery on ourselves. We’re removing parts of us that are infected and inflamed.

Sometimes the process hurts.

We are strong enough to survive discomfort and temporary feelings of emotional pain. Once we are willing to face and feel our discomfort and pain, we are almost to the point of release.

Today, I am willing to face my discomfort, trusting that healing and release are on the other side. Help me, God, be open to feeling whatever I need to feel to be healed and healthy. While I am doing this, I will trust I am cared for and protected by myself, my friends, my Higher Power Jesus Christ.

There is still time to join my Step-Study where we get honest about the pain and the joy in our lives.
