Just a quick reminder! the "Friends" will meet Monday, June 10th, 5:30 PM. You will see the almost completed Phase 2 of the renovation project. We will discuss the Summer Reading Kickoff Program, Juneteenth, and other Library events. Hope to see many of you.

We have shutdown deliveries of crocheted items to the local hospitals due the corona virus pandemic. If you are able to make face masks for the frontline workers it would be greatly appreciate... Joann Fabrics has some patterns for face masks on their website (or I can send you one). Thank you for your continued support!

OMGoodness, I’m looking for other facilities to donate to locally. We have been blessed to receive beautiful hats, scarves, blankets, and yarn!!! In February, my husband delivered over 250 adult and children hats and over 80 pairs of booties for infants. Thank you to all of our donors... and we are looking for more crocheters and knitters because we have plenty of donated yarn!!!

On Thursday, we delivered over 130 hats to Karmanos Cancer Institute in downtown Detroit... and they were very appreciative!!! We love being a blessing to others... THANK YOU to all our crocheters and knitter who sacrifice their time, talent, and treasures to this cause!! We have over 150 more hats to donate (I'm just waiting for more scripture cards to come in). FYI... we insert a scripture card with each individually bagged hat.

Thank you for all the donations... we will be delivering to Karmanos Cancer Institute by Thanksgiving. We originally planned to make the delivery late October or early November, but cancer personally touched my family last month. We are still taking donations for this delivery!

I have received approximately 20 hats + the 15 hats that I made over the summer months... I’m looking to at least double this number by the time I deliver to Karmanos Cancer Institute in October!!! Come on knitters and crocheters... HELP ME OUT!!!
