Thanks for visiting us online. P&P Hardware began in Riverside, California with the purchase of a small, local Ace Hardware store. Paul & Pam Shanabarger purchased this store in 1999 and soon began seeking oppo
rtunities to expand their little investment. Over the next decade they turned their small hardware store into three additional hardware stores located in Temecula, Wildomar and on Camp Pendleton. The Camp Pendleton operation was and is part of a government contract to provide industrial hardware, safety and tool supplies to the United States Marine Corps. From this operation was eventually born P&P Uniforms. In Paul & Pam’s quest to expand their customer service ethos learned from their years as Ace Hardware owners, they began supplying the Marines at Camp Pendleton. The retailer’s “Customer First” approach had, to that time, not really been attempted with government customers and over the years has led to ever increasing growth as Uncle Sam seeks to find the same level of service provided to private citizens around the country. The Marine Corps request that P&P Hardware begin providing “tactical equipment” such as gun slings, holsters, pouches, body armor, etc. seemed like a huge stretch for a company traditionally associated with hammers and chisels but years as “The Helpful Place” meant that a path would be paved. After years of supplying the government with these products, P&P Hardware decided to pursue customer excellence with uniforms and tactical gear in the civilian market. P&P Uniforms is part of your community,in the same way that Ace Hardware is part of your community. P&P Uniforms is owned and operated by local entrepreneurs, Paul & Pam Shanabarger – hard-working, passionate business owners who are involved with and reside in the community where their stores are. There's a good chance you'll see them at the grocery store, attending (or even sponsoring) local sports leagues, or working alongside other local business owners to better the community.
