ZEN. As the last week of February comes to an end I notice another year has come and gone. This was a huge year of transition for me. Started with a journey of love which shifted into realizing I have high expectations for human kind and that’s ok. Cancer has changed me and it will ALWAYS be mentioned in my journey and that’s ok. Body, hair and soul are 3 things I’m obsessed with and that’s ok . Along with being an over thinker, hard worker and over sharer and that’s ok. I’m learning when people say this is a safe place who actually means it. Believing humans the first time around is important for my nervous system. I’m allowing my friend circle to get smaller. At 43 I will find and spread my JOY again. This year I will focus on enjoying me in my space, ZEN, singing and dancing out loud and continuing to show up respectfully bold. I AM ME and every experience shapes me. This is 43 💋 🎗

Brought in the New Year with a 5k. I’m old. I’m at that age where I have anxiety the morning after drinking. No anxiety today, just a blister from jogging with wet socks. This was Kaylees idea. I was not excited about driving to Pasadena in the rain or running at midnight and jogging in the rain. What if people judge me because I’m not a “Lululemon sized runner”? They did not when I picked up my runners bib they wished me luck and fun like everyone else. What if I can’t jog the entire way? I didn’t. I was fine. What if I get swept? I didn’t I finished at 49 min. What if it’s cold and wet? It was, I brought us ponchos and I didn’t melt. What if my scars are bothering me because it’s cold? They did but Kaylee helped me wrap my stomach tight and I just kept going. I’m glad I did it was fun 5,000 people gathered hyped to run in the rain together at midnight. The amount of people running with huge speakers in wagons , lights, dogs, strollers with kids and friends…to be around so many people with one mission. Health & Joy. And the finishers medal is beautiful. If I can find a sitter for next year I’m going to do it again, with Kaylee and less anxiety. I’m working on that.
