HONORING THE LIFE AND SERVICE OF SHERIFF STEVE DRAPER

Sheriff Overton and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sheriff Steve Draper of the Martinsville City Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Draper began his law enforcement career in 1973 and was elected Sheriff in 1993. He held the remarkable distinction of being the longest-serving sheriff in the Commonwealth of Virginia—a testament to more than five decades of unwavering dedication, leadership, and service to his community and the Commonwealth.

Our partners in Henry County said it best:

“To those of us in law enforcement, Sheriff Draper was more than a neighboring Sheriff. He was a colleague, a partner, a friend, and an example of what a lifetime dedicated to public service looks like.”

Sheriff Overton and the entire Franklin County Sheriff’s Office extend our deepest condolences to Sheriff Draper’s family, friends, colleagues, and the Martinsville community during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Sheriff Draper. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service, leadership, and commitment to others will live on for generations to come.

Today marks the beginning of testing for our new automated system at BKT Uniforms!

We want to thank all of our customers for your patience as we work through this transition. We are extremely excited about what this advancement will mean for the future of BKT Uniforms and, most importantly, for the service we provide to our customers.

We have been using our current software for 22 years, but our industry is changing, and we believe it’s time to change with it. This new system will help us stay competitive while providing faster, more efficient, and more convenient service.

Our goal is to have the new system fully operational by the end of September, with our new online capabilities launching October 1st.

Today we pause and honor the life and sacrifice of Corporal Eric Sutphin, who lost his life on this day-20 years ago. Cpl. Sutphin made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting this community and we should never forget that today or any day.

BKT Uniforms Clothing Return Policy

* Clothing may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase with the original receipt.
* Items must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and in new condition, with all original tags attached.
* Customized items (including embroidery, screen printing, heat-applied names, patches, hemming, alterations, or any other personalization) are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a manufacturing defect or an error made by BKT Uniforms.
* Footwear may be returned if unworn and in the original box.
* Body armor, duty gear, special-order items, and discontinued merchandise are final sale and are not eligible for return unless covered by a manufacturer’s warranty or approved by management.
* A valid receipt is required for all returns and exchanges. While we may be able to locate your purchase in our records, this is not always possible. Please keep your receipt if you think you may need to make a return or exchange.
* Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. Eligible returns after 30 days may be considered for store credit only, at management’s discretion.
* Defective merchandise will be inspected and handled according to the manufacturer’s warranty or BKT Uniforms’ return procedures.

Please try on all garments before washing, wearing, or altering them. Once a garment has been worn, washed, altered, or customized, it cannot be returned or exchanged unless it is defective.
