Day 2 the Adebayo Jones Diary at African Fashion Week Toronto 2026 was another unforgettable celebration of African creativity, culture, fashion, design, and artistic expression.

The day began with a wonderful visit to CTV’s morning programme, where we had the pleasure of sharing the story of Sankofa Fest, in collaboration with African Fashion Week Toronto 2026.

Joining us was the remarkable Brenda Foreman, Director at AFWT, whose passion and dedication continue to help create powerful platforms for African fashion and culture in Canada.

And what a spectacular way to showcase the vision of AFWT—with Ashley and Derek, the two faces of AFWT 2026 proudly modelling exquisite Adebayo Jones Luxury Couture. ✨

Their presence, elegance, and energy brought the designs to life and demonstrated once again how fashion can become a powerful language of culture, identity, and storytelling.

The interview was an opportunity to talk about Sankofa Fest and its beautiful collaboration with AFWT—a celebration rooted in the richness of African heritage while embracing the creativity and innovation of today.

Sankofa reminds us to look back, honour where we come from, and carry the wisdom of our heritage forward.

That spirit is at the heart of this celebration.

Day I of African Fashion Week Toronto 2026 (AFWT) began with the arrival of Adebayo Jones and an inspiring visit to CBC — Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Radio.

Adebayo Jones joined Isaac Ansah, Co-Founder of Africa Fashion Week Toronto, for a special interview with host Ismaela. The conversation explored fashion, identity, creativity, ambition, and the power of culture to connect people across borders.

It also highlighted the designers, creatives, entrepreneurs, models, artists, and visionaries shaping African fashion globally.

Heavenly Father,

Today, the 26th of May, I bow before You with a heart overflowing with gratitude as I celebrate the gift of a new birthday year. Thank You for the grace that has kept me, the mercy that has sustained me, and the favour that has followed me through every step of my journey.

Lord, I do not take this new age for granted. Thank You for life, for strength, for protection, provision, and for every unseen battle you fought on my behalf. Through every joy and every challenge, You have remained faithful, loving, and true.

As I enter this new chapter, I pray that Your hand will continue to rest upon me. Let this new year bring greater peace, divine direction, open doors, growth, wisdom, good health, and abundant blessings. May Your light shine upon my path, and may my life continually reflect Your goodness and glory.
