Waste Reduction & Circular Thinking:

Sustainability isn’t just about what we make—it’s also about how materials are used, reused, and repurposed. Albany International is focused on strengthening waste management systems by separating waste streams, expanding recycling and composting programs, and increasing opportunities to keep materials out of landfills. Through continuous improvement efforts and circular economy initiatives, we’re working toward our goal of zero waste to landfill by 2030 in the Americas and Europe, while supporting smarter material use across our value chain.

Energy Efficiency & Climate Action:

Reducing energy use is one of the most effective ways to lessen environmental impact and reduce operational cost—and it’s an area where Albany International continues to make meaningful progress. In support of our customers’ goals as well as our own climate transition planning, we’re advancing energy efficiency initiatives, exploring on site renewable solutions, and supporting new renewable energy infrastructure through strategic partnerships like a U.S. Virtual Power Purchase Agreement. These actions help reduce emissions while supporting a more resilient energy future across our operations.

Happy World Water Day!

World Water Day is a United Nations observance focusing on the importance of freshwater, raising awareness for the 2.1 billion people lacking safe water, and promoting sustainable management.

At Albany, we assess and monitor risks associated with water scarcity. We also track our water usage and have been implementing water saving initiatives such as installing a rainwater harvesting system and a water recirculation system.

How can you use water more sustainably?
