Happy New Year everyone!
I'm making some changes for 2025!
First some background for the changes:
In 2024 I fully burnt myself out.
I moved to a different team on my day job for a very demanding client, there was an unexpected LOA where I had to step up and learn a lot on the fly, working an absurd amount of overtime and also manage one of my busiest years of my alterations business!
I genuinely appreciate all the support my business has received, my true dream is to only do alterations (but not in this economy)
Now for the updates!
I will no longer accept new clients for dance costumes, repairs, zipper replacement, window treatments or linens.
Appointment timing - the minimum time I require from first appointment to event date (for labor intensive work like lace, beadwork, and adding corset add 2 weeks)
-Wedding gown: 5 weeks
-Bridal party: 4 weeks
-Prom 3 weeks
If there is availability less than the specified timeframe a deposit will be required upon scheduling the first appointment
*Exception for the "off season" events November - February*
Rescheduling and No-Show:
I have limited availability and please be courteous of my time and other clients by arriving at appointments on time or communicating any delays as they occur or if unable to make the appointment.
(I mostly worry and don't mind a couple minutes late with a heads up or "omg I forgot, can I reschedule?")
If you are early please message to ensure I'm not finishing the prior appointment as I am a one man show with limited space.
I will not reach out to or rebook now-show first fitting appointments.
For now-show pick up appointments, payment in full will be requested to pick up the item with no try on.
All no-show will be placed on a banned list.
High volume of similar items will be offered a 10% discount
