Sandpiper Lane-The Coastal Kids Store and Coast & Cottage will be closing our doors on December 31, 2025.
Our beautifully updated 3950 SF building is for sale, and all of our gorgeous coastal/cottage/farmhouse style dining tables, bookcases, and fixtures are for sale. If you have a retail store or are considering opening one, or have a house to outfit, we can work with you on package deals of furniture and fixtures. When we opened Sandpiper Lane in early 2022, we knew that many children in Aransas County might not ever be able financially to come inside to pick out a toy, book or candy. We also knew that only a handful of children receive awards for being top of the class, best athlete or artist, etc. but that every single child can practice kindness. Through Sandpiper Lane’s Kind Kids program, and with the help of the local elementary schools, we have been able to recognize and honor over 350 students in our community for their acts of kindness. It has been our greatest joy to see these students come in with their awards and pick out well-deserved treasures. We have a bright future ahead of us with these amazing children, Aransas County!
To all of you who have shopped with us over the years and loved the stores and our business model of offering beautiful items that also give back to others, we would like to thank you. You have enabled us to support more than 50 charities in the United States and beyond. Through your patronage, you have given not only to our Kind Kids, but also to a variety of other important causes, including meals for impoverished children, help for exploited women, orphanages in the poorest countries, replanting trees in wildfire-ravaged areas, humane societies and support for endangered species worldwide. The discounts will go up, up, up as we get closer to the end of December, but we recommend coming in now for the best selection, especially if you’ve had your eye on something. We will continue to restock favorites throughout November & December.
I call this place Bethy’s House of Dreams…with my unicorns, seahorses, giant stuffed animals, picture books, and everything Christmas all in one place. These two stores have been a dream realized, and it has been SO MUCH FUN! This will be Coast & Cottage’s 6th Christmas in Rockport, and we wanted to spend it with you. Stop in.
