Boldy sewing costumes ... to make the event so much more fun! Fun to make. Fun to wear. Fun to show off. The Button, the Needle and the Wardrobe took a trip to Dragon Con in Atlanta last week by way of these intrepid (and awesome-looking) voyagers! John and Elizabeth made quite the entrance wearing their custom-made Star Trek Voyager and Enterprise uniforms. My roll? At the risk of mixing up all the Trek timelines, think of me as a sort of Scotty with scissors and thread, sewing like mad in the background to make it all work well and look grand!

It's a privilege and a pleasure to work with so many lovely people here in Tennessee and sometimes even from across the country ... from the Scott Hamilton Skating Club in Nashville to a young English Riding competitor in South Carolina to a top-notch football jersey collector in Texas to the Girls of the West in Colorado. Creating custom clothes is one of my favorite parts of being a professional tailor. And what's more rewarding than creating two beautiful dresses for two spirited 9-year-old girls who just love to twirl? They're experiencing the fashionable fun of a dress made just for them and is all their very own. And you can too! Whether you're 9 or 90, I'd love to sew something custom for you as well. Timing Tip: Creating custom garments can require three or more months to assemble and sew and perfectly fit the right fabrics and patterns, so if you have an idea in mind, plan ahead! Our life and business journey has landed us in the great state of Tennessee! And we're so happy to be here. To be able to sew for our new neighbors and friends from all over Middle Tennessee.

I'm Heidi Isaac, and I own and operate the BUTTON, the NEEDLE and the WARDROBE. I was born in the Chicago area, and called Colorado home before moving to Tennessee. Along the way I accumulated more than 25 years of full-time professional sewing and teaching experience. I and my husband, Steven, who is an embroidery artist and craftsman extraordinaire, can help you with your tailoring and alterations, from formal attire to costumes, as well as business and personal embroidery. Whether you need your dress altered, your suit tailored, your jeans hemmed, your jacket mended or your shirts embroidered ... we're here for you.

SPECIAL NOTE: We are in the process of relocating our business to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and are unable to take in new alterations, tailoring or embroidery jobs right now. If you haven't heard, the BUTTON, the NEEDLE and the WARDROBE is moving ... to Tennessee. We've loved sewing for you here in Colorado for nearly two decades, but the time has come for us to trade mountain air for valley green.

Before we can move, though, we're having a big sale here at our shop. Join us any time from 9-5 on Monday, November 14. Stop in to say "Hi" and "Bye." Then browse through a sewing shop full of fun and useful things! We're selling sewing machines, sewing supplies, fabric, wall art, decorations, tables, chairs, lamps ... even a microwave oven! Nearly everything's for sale to help with the move.

We're glad you're here! We can help you with your tailoring and alterations, from formal attire to costumes, as well as business and personal embroidery. Whether you need your blouse altered, your suit tailored, your jeans hemmed, a brand-new dress created, a jacket mended or some shirts embroidered . . . we're here for you.

Special Note: For almost 15 years we've loved sewing for you, and we're still going strong! But we've had to make a couple of changes to our services this year. Currently we're not able to work on wedding gowns, jacket zippers or home décor. For all of your other WARDROBE sewing needs . . . we'd love to help you create something special!
