My friend Laura asked me long ago for pictures of the glassware in my windows. Here it is (finally!) it’s not the sunniest time of day and the windows aren’t the cleanest but…oh well! It’s a hodgepodge of colors and styles, which I like. I do plan on switching out the wood shelves for glass this year. I love hunting thrift stores for colored glass.

I have eight 10 3/4 inch dinner plates in Wedgwood’s discontinued Runnymede pattern. I’m showing it on a dusty pink background—beautiful!—but the colors in the florals allow for several options. These have an embossed, dark blue band and are in excellent vintage condition. There is some interesting history associated with the pattern name. Runnymede is where the Magna Cart was signed. Covid and eye surgery have slowed us down, but we’re back with some lovely Aynsley Golden Crocus dishes in wonderful condition. Six dinner plates, seven salad plates, six bread plates, and four footed cups and saucers. The plates have a beautiful glossy finish edged in perfect, shiny gold. Can you see the flowery, fluted edges, and the petals imprinted into the plates? Very special. I don’t know that I’ve ever done an all white table, but these were so pretty that they inspired me to do an Easter tablescape.
