Most runners keep the poncho.
This one became a custom duffel.
A client brought me an old New York race poncho and asked if I could turn it into something useful. I loved the idea immediately, because pieces like this hold so much more than fabric. They hold the training, the weather, the finish line, the whole memory.
I turned it into a one-of-one duffel with waterproof ripstop canvas, heavy-duty metal hardware, nylon zippers, an adjustable shoulder strap, and a finished size of 24” long by 12” high.
Personal, functional, and made completely by hand.
Custom pieces can be created from race ponchos, running bibs, jerseys, sweatshirts, uniforms, baby clothes, school pieces, family fabrics, and the things you could never throw away but don’t know what to do with.
Then we can make it even more personal with signature patches, gift patches, family names, initials, dates, special lining details, or whatever little touches make the piece yours.
Bags, quilts, keepsakes, gifts — if it carries a memory, we can give it another life.
