I forgot to post this as well. Travis hardly ever asks me to make him anything but he got a little jealous of all the ponchos I made for Christmas presents and asked if I could make him a green and purple one ❤️ it took forever because of my recent health issues but at least this was something I could do while recovering in bed ☺️ he loves it and has been wearing it when it gets too cold in our game room 😂 (ignore his awkward stance for the picture 😂)

I decided to attempt a technique called "Tapestry Crochet." There are different ways to do it but cutting the yarn after each row was the only way I could get the front to look decent. However, my tension is clearly an issue because of how atrociously slanted each piece came out. I blocked these so it looks a tiny bit better but not by much. Maybe I'll stick to Mosaic Crochet 😂

I made another one 🤣 I was testing out a new batting (don't like it for quilted tote bags, but it will be good for other projects in the future!)I even tried a pocket for the first time and I learned quite a bit doing this one.
1. Do NOT wing pockets as a newbie 🤣 mine came out frayed and ended up pinching a bit because I left raw edges out lol
2. Don't use pencil to mark your quilt lines on light colored fabric because it doesnt come out and smudges in the wash lol
3. Use light colored fabric for the backing of light colored fabric because you can see through it 💀
4. The fusing batting was too thin for the bag but I did like how great it stuck together when you fused it together.

Overall, I'm getting better with every bag 🥰 I love this fabric so much and a friend told me it gave Bridgerton vibes and I LOVE that 🤣 I love me some Bridgerton 🫣

Finally!! After over 6 months of trying, the name is finally changed 🥰 We are officially Twisted Threads! Hopefully, now, people can find this page when I post on Tik Tok (I need to make a new Instagram). I taught myself a new crochet technique called Mosaic Crochet :) it was a bit difficult at first because I had to read the pattern backwards but it was pretty fun! I used a color changing yarn to make it do the gradient ☺️

Memento Mori means "remember you must die" in Latin. It's basically to remind us of our mortality and to remind us to live a meaningful life. Though its an ancient saying, many religions have adapted it into their faith, especially Christianity/Catholicism. I am not a religious person but after struggling with depression for many years, I like this phrase to remind myself to keep living a meaningful life when I didnt want to for a little while ❤️ especially now that I'm glad I continued on ☺️
