The leather shop has moved from time to time only to gain more space and provide more services. We first started out at Gibraltar Trade Center on the weekends and quickly grew. This page is a place to come for information about upcoming events, rides and other info. Thank you to everyone for all your business over the years. One of the best parts about living in Michigan is how we can go from an 85° day on Monday to a nearly freezing 35° morning by Saturday! 😂 That’s Michigan weather for ya!

Even though we had a few dreary days in between this week, we’ve been blessed with a beautiful Saturday to finish it off!

A big thank you to Freedom Cruisers Chapter 20 out of Macomb for making their annual trip down to see us! We always appreciate you guys stopping in and making us part of your tradition!

🍂 ‘Tis the season for leather weather! And you know we’ve got you covered! From leather chaps and warm gauntlet gloves to our handmade leather neck scarves, we’ve got plenty of gear to help keep you warm and riding comfortably as those temperatures start dropping.

Out with the old and in with the new! 🧥

Karen brought in this leather jacket to see if we could give it some new life with a fresh liner, and we think it turned out fantastic!

The leather itself was still in great shape, but the inside had seen better days. So, we tore out the old lining and replaced it with a brand-new black quilted liner!

Virginia Porter did a phenomenal job mapping out, cutting, and putting together the new liner. We were even able to preserve all of the original labels and the interior pockets that were still in good condition. To top it off, we upgraded the outer pockets with brand-new leather!

It’s always nice to see a good leather jacket get a second life rather than being tossed aside. This is just one of the many services we enjoy offering here at AM Leather!

Here’s a heads-up on what’s happening the next couple weekends!

📅 Tomorrow, October 10
• Road Angels MC is hosting their last steak fry of the year! They usually have a super 50/50 raffle, the steaks are always awesome, and you’ll find some great people over there.
• Law Dogs is heading to FireKeepers Casino for a casino bus trip!

📅 Next Saturday, October 17
• West Side Jokers is hosting their annual Bike Burn!
• Shielded Soul LEMC will have a tribute band playing at their clubhouse, just down the road from our store.

Every year, we hold a big raffle at our Customer Appreciation Party, and this year’s prize was a full set of US-made leathers!

Our lucky winner, David Dobbins, bought just ONE ticket! David worked at Motown Harley-Davidson and has been a longtime customer and supporter of ours. Over the years, he sent plenty of people our way when they couldn’t find what they needed at the dealership, and we’ve always appreciated that.

When David came in, he told us he already had all the gear he wanted and decided to pass his prize along to his good friend and coworker, Johnny Vega.

David said he hoped that one day, when Johnny is overlooking the Smoky Mountains, he’ll look down at his leathers and think of his good buddy.

A few days later, Jonny stopped in and picked out his full set of leathers!

Thank you, David, for your years of support and such a generous gesture. Johnny, enjoy your new gear! 🏍️

Our 1st Bike Show on Saturday was definitely a success! 🏍️

We had the parking lot lined with tons of vintage, custom, and unique rides, along with a great crowd of people hanging out all day. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and helped make our first show such a great one!

A huge thank you to Derek and the Reasons To Ride: Michigan crew for coming out and hosting the show!

Big shoutout to the Widows Sons MC for helping us all day with setup, tear down, and everything in between. We really appreciate you guys!

Thank you to Don Miller and Dirty Mind Detroit for keeping the music going while everyone hung out, and to Cliff’s Food Truck for serving up some awesome dogs and burgers throughout the day!

We’re still gathering up all the pictures from the last couple weekends, so we’ll be posting plenty more over the next week or so.

Thank you again to everyone who came out and made our 1st Bike Show a success! We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🤘🏍️

The A.M. Leather Customs & Classic Bike Show is this Saturday, October 3! 🏍️
Join us at 18957 Middlebelt Rd. in Romulus for a day of bikes, food, live music, and raffles.

Reasons To Ride Magazine is hosting the show. All makes, models, and years are welcome, with over 15 classes plus loudest pipes, an audio challenge, and custom paint.

Here’s what’s happening throughout the day:

• 11 AM: Bike show registration begins, and Cliff’s food truck starts serving around this time
• 12:30–3 PM: Dollar raffle prize winners called every hour
• 1 PM: Dirty Mind Detroit plays live 🎸
• 2:30 PM: 50/50 raffle drawing

Proceeds from the raffles will benefit the Penrickton Center for Blind Children.

Wow, what an amazing weekend! We were blessed with perfect weather, and the turnout for our Customer Appreciation Party on Saturday was incredible. By 1 PM, the lot was packed with bikes and parking spots were hard to find!

Thank you to everyone who came out and to everyone who helped make the party happen. We truly couldn’t have done it without each and everyone of you. Snapshot from Bikes and Battle Buddies was there taking photos throughout the event, so we’ll be sharing more pictures soon!

Between the 50/50, dollar raffles, and full set of leathers raffle, we raised a ton of money for Penrickton Center for Blind Children. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets and supported them.

Then on Sunday, we joined BIKES AND BATTLE BUDDIES for their annual Summer Shakedown. Thanks for putting it on and having us along for a great cruise through the metro parks. What a weekend!

Next up: This Saturday, October 3rd, we are having the Custom and Classics Bike Show hosted by Reasons To Ride: Michigan. Registration starts at 11am. Stay tuned for more details very soon.
