My husband reasoning with me over furniture:

Me: “I think I’ll save so much money and just get this one”

Husband : “Babe you do this all the time and trying to be cheap costs so much more in long run.”
You will spend the next 6 months second guessing, re-arranging, and trying to complete the exact look you want with several different pieces and never acheive it. Because you settled for the less expensive piece that isn’t the one you wanted.”

Me at the Lowe’s later that week:

Me: “hello, Can I get a quart of this paint in this Antique Burgundy color?”

Lowes Man: “sure is it a small project for ya this time?”

Me: “no it’s a bedroom set, two dressers a Tallboy and a 9 drawer…but I’m not sure I’m gonna like the color so I don’t wanna pay for a big gallon”

Lowes Man: “well 2 of these qt’s are the price of a gallon and there’s 4qt in a gallon so it’s a better deal to buy the bigger”

Me: “yeah not sure it’s what I want so just give me the cheaper one for now”

I am currently driving out of my way to another Lowes to ask for a gallon of the Antique Burgundy I painted… because, I used the whole quart on the smaller dresser….. I love the dresser and how vibrant it is…. Still have to paint the bigger dresser ….And I do not want to admit to the Lowe’s man that I have a problem listening to a man because I can’t be cheap. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣look at the gas money I’m wasting just to avoid this.

Somewhere in all of this story is a lesson I’m just not sure I’m there yet!!!!!

Having to take the summer off for personal/family reasons may have slowed me down but, it hasn’t stopped my furniture crazed brain. 🤣🩷

I’m ready to crank out some pieces with love from my work shop. And I’m always looking to buy great pieces.

There is something for everyone and it’s time to get some new finds in. Message me for pricing or Interest. I do not post prices on this page because if I have an item listed on marketplace they take my listing down due to cross posting/duplicate photos.

Gorgeous well built tall chest/dresser with 7 total drawers for plenty of storage.
Designed by Jack Cartwright for Founders Furniture, 1960s.
Sits on plinth base. Minor fading from age. See photos. Overall very good vintage condition.
36″W, 18″D, 45.5″H

Summer Fun who’s with me.
Just restored the tops of the dinning room set with 8 chairs, the side board and buffet. The top is removeable on the side sideboard.

And don’t me get me started on the Floral sofa by Flair and matching loveseat 🩵💚💙
