I have a stack of these programs from 1953. I will post one every Friday until they are all posted. This Friday life happened and I didn't get to post one. These covers would look so cool blown up and framed for a sports bar, coaches office, school, mancave, she shed, kids room, game room... I think you get the idea. I love seeing the documentation of early businesses that are no longer with us, that we may not remember. I wish the ads included the addresses. If you know where the businesses where located, please share below its pic of its ad.

As a kiddo, I loved it when the family would drive by the old neon flickering motel signs. I would stare with total ahhh. Another thing of the past that we rarely see. Too expensive to maintain. I wish I had a picture of the neon sign from the Waterfall Apartments that were off of East Main. Mesmerizing colorful neon brightness! Here are a few of my favs.

We just found out our street will remain closed until at least September 8th.

At this point, I don’t even have the energy to be mad about it. 😂 But I am going to ask for a little favor:

Plant Parlor is still OPEN, the sidewalks are open, and we are very easy to get to. You just can’t pull up and park directly in front of the store right now.

I know construction makes downtown look like a hassle, and it’s easy to think, “I’ll just go another day.” But for a small business, a few weeks of everyone waiting for “another day” adds up really quickly.

So come see us. 💚 Park around the corner, take the tiny walk, and I promise there are plenty of pretty plants waiting for you when you get here!
