Yesterday afternoon a large truck pulled up. David from 1800GOTJUNK in Pittsburgh came in and explained he had a huge pick up of dog and cat food that was brand new in bags/cans NOT EXPIRED, NOT DAMAGED and NOT JUNK! He said he just couldn't stomach the idea of throwing it away and called his boss to see if he could donate the food to a local shelter. His boss agreed and he looked online and found us! This picture is just HALF of what he brought in!!!! So much in fact, that we reached out to our friends in rescue at Erie Animal Network to come by and loaded them up! David is now an honorary member of the and we are so thankful for his thoughtfulness and his boss for agreeing to let him come find us! The surplus will also be used to stock our Community Pet Food Bank.
