As we enter the Holiday season and the season of buying and giving, I implore you to consider buying second-hand. Whether this be thrifting, a vintage shop, or even swapping with friends. We are at an impasse on this planet. We must make smart buying decisions that are kind to the planet and promote sustainability.

I don’t believe in absolutes. We are not perfect and we do not have to be. Pair those Target jeans with a vintage sweater. Buy and 80’s sequin top to wear with those Anthropologie velvet pants. It’s okay. But we should try to reuse & recycle as best we can.

The photos i shared are from a party I went to last night. Everything I am wearing except the tights are thrifted. And the dress is fast fashion. But from a thrift store. The shoes are Steve Madden. But thrifted. The coat is vintage and thrifted. They are getting another life instead of ended up in a landfill.

Let’s normalize gifting second-hand goods. Let’s normalize trying to find the look we are dreaming of by thrifting or hitting your local vintage shop first.

St. Augustine is so lucky to have some amazing curated 2nd hand options.

👀👀 Mark them calendars! This Friday we flicking on these lights and playing dress up from now until forever. Snake Bird Vintage will open its doors this Friday, July 21st from 11am-7pm.

Come say hello! Try out the dressing room! Buy some vintage! Drink a beer or a glass of Prosecco at the newly opened Tap Room!
