When I am not quilting, I find other things to interest me. Take this book for instance. Usually I quilt during a "mania" before the holidays. This year I wrote and illustrated this for my friend who is a professional Mrs. Claus! I am sending it through the publisher to see what it will do when I finish all of the paintings. For now, the story is finished enough for a 7 minute break with the kids or grandkids. I know we are now past Christmas, but this book introduces kids to the three types of turtles on our beloved planet.

Twin quilts for a lucky set of twins! Is anybody have better suggestions for working with fake fur? At this point in time I don't think I'll ever work with it ever again in a quilt!

Just something I threw together from some blocks that my ex-mother-in-law and I and my ex-sister-in-law made when I was teaching classes 20 years ago. It's amazing what you can do with the UFO. This was actually made for my daughter and her husband as their wedding quilt. They will be getting it Thanksgiving Eve as we I have had some family tragedies happen and we need a little Christmas now. My son-in-law has no idea and he has wanted one my daughter knows all about it.

Friends who see this post, know that covid-19 is a very scary thing. It is especially scary for those who are on the front lines. I implore you to follow the mask tutorials and make as many masks for your local hospital, police and fire workers as you possibly can pump out. I will add the link for the tutorial under this post. My best friend is an ER nurse appear in Grayling Michigan and she let me know that they are only allowed one mask per shift right now. Let's help them help those that are affected by this horrible illness and the other respiratory illnesses that are going around plaguing us by doing our part.

I challenge you individually to make 2 dozen masks to be donated. People freaked out and rightfully so, but they overbought and are now hoarding the supplies that are so desperately needed by our hospitals and medical facilities.

Without these people, more people will die! We need to protect those who are saving lives.

This particular quilt is 5 years old today!! My very best friend who passed away in August this past year bought me this material to make a quilt for myself. I use it every night on my bed and it is the nicest quilt that I've ever made for myself! It is the perfect weight! Butterflies because I enjoy my freedom oh, and Olaf because I like snowman especially that one! The bonus is it's in all my favorite colors of blue!

Had a bunch of UFOs laying around from 20 years ago. It was time they were sent into a quilt. So while we're getting ready for this horrible snow storm here in northern Michigan, I decided to get busy on my machine. This still needs borders, batting, and to be finished, but I'm well on the way to another finished quilt.
